About the Speaker
Dr. Desiree Strickland holds a Doctor of Public Health from Florida A&M University and has held senior level roles within state departments of health and the private sector. She is the Founder and CEO of Strickland Health Consulting, LLC and the founder of The Public Health Club, an online community of more than 500 public health professionals focused on career development, consulting, and collaboration.
Through her consulting work, Dr. Strickland has partnered with respected organizations including the CDC Foundation, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, and the National Association of County and City Health Officials to implement health equity strategies and provide project management services. She is also the creator of the Public Health Ideal Career Quiz, designed to help emerging professionals navigate the breadth of opportunities within public health.
