Question: What is the ABWIPPM Conference?

AnswerThe Annual Black Women in Project & Program Management (ABWIPPM) Conference is a premier event designed to empower, connect, and elevate Black women leaders in the fields of project and program management. The Conference features keynote speakers, breakout sessions, panels, networking, and career development opportunities.

Question: When is the Conference?

A: The ABWIPPM Conference takes place on Friday, September 26, 2025 and Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Question: Where is the Conference?

A: The ABWIPPM Conference is hosted at The Royal Sonesta Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Question: Will there be catering provided? 

A: Yes, breakfast and lunch catering will be provided on both days.

Question: Is there a room block available? 

AThe reserved room block rate has expired as of September 5, 2025. The Royal Sonesta Capitol Hill may still have availability for the duration of the Conference, however any reservations made after the above date are subject to the hotel's standard rate.

Question: What does the ticket cost include? 

A: Ticket cost includes entry to the conference and all sessions, breakfast and lunch and snacks, yoga prior to the conference, some swag, resume reviews, and complimentary headshots.

Question: Are there payment plans available? 

A: Yes! ABWIPPM has partnered with Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna. We also have PayPal as a payment option, and certain individuals can qualify for PayPal's Pay in 4.

Question: What is the dress code? 

ABusiness Casual with a Bold Touch. Traditional business casual, but invite color, cultural attire, or bold accessories that reflect identity and individuality. This is great for an event focused on empowerment and self-expression.

Question: Are virtual attendance options available? 

A: No, virtual attendance is not an option. But sessions will be recorded and sold at a later date.

Question: Are there professional development units (PDUs) available for attendance? 

A: Yes, a total of 35 PDUs are available through the ABWIPPM Conference sessions. 

Question: Do you have a refund policy? 

Refund Policy for ABWIPPM Conference Tickets

  • Full Refund Window: Refund requests made within 14 days of purchase (if purchased before August 1, 2025) will receive a 100% refund, minus processing fees.

  • Partial Refund Window: Refund requests made between August 1 and September 1, 2025 will receive a 50% refund, minus processing fees.

  • No Refund Window: After September 1, 2025, no refunds will be issued due to venue, catering, and programming commitments.

  • Ticket Transfers: If you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person at no cost up until September 20, 2025 by notifying us at [info@abwippm.org].

  • Hardship Consideration: In exceptional cases (medical emergencies, etc.), ABWIPPM may review refund requests made after the deadline on a case-by-case basis.
