About the Event
Micromanagement can quietly drain your confidence, productivity, and visibility, especially when you are a high-performing project or program manager who knows how to lead.
Join ABWIPPM for a candid and strategic session with Latina Lewis, PMP, designed specifically for professionals navigating high-stakes environments where competence is often questioned and over-scrutiny is normalized. This conversation goes beyond venting. It focuses on power, positioning, and practical strategies you can use immediately.
In this session, Latina will unpack why micromanagement happens, how it shows up in subtle and not-so-subtle ways, and how to respond strategically rather than emotionally. Participants will learn how to shift the dynamic from being overly managed to being recognized as a capable, trusted leader.
Participants Will Learn:
How to identify the root causes of micromanagement
Tactical communication strategies that proactively reduce oversight
Boundary-setting techniques that protect your credibility without confrontation
How to determine when to adapt, escalate, or strategically disengage
Attendees will leave with practical scripts, mindset shifts, and concrete strategies they can apply immediately. No career damage. No unnecessary conflict. No shrinking required.
